Charity & Fundraising
Charitable giving lies at the very heart of the Knights Templar tradition. From the earliest days of our Order, the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon embraced lives of poverty, chastity, and obedience. Upon joining, medieval Templars took solemn vows and pledged their entire worldly wealth to the service of the Order and the defence of the faith.
While we no longer require new Knights to surrender all their possessions, we do ask every member to uphold the ancient spirit of self sacrifice and generosity. Upon knighthood we ask each new Templar to make a personal commitment to charitable giving and pledge to raise or donate a minimum of £1,000 each year to worthy causes.
This annual commitment is not merely a financial target but is a living expression of our vows, a modern continuation of the Templar ideal of placing service above self.
We Support Local and International Charities
True charity begins at home, yet knows no borders. The Knights Templar actively encourage our members to support a wide range of charitable initiatives, both local and international. Whether aiding vulnerable families in our own communities, supporting humanitarian efforts abroad, funding medical research, preserving Christian heritage, or helping those affected by conflict and disaster, our fundraising efforts reflect the breadth of compassion and justice that defined the original Order.
Members are free to direct their giving toward causes that resonate most deeply with their own calling from local food banks, hospices, and veteran support groups to international projects that protect persecuted Christians, provide clean water, or deliver emergency relief in war torn regions.
Through organised commandery events, sponsored challenges, silent auctions, and personal donations, our brotherhood transforms individual commitment into collective impact. Every pound raised and every hour volunteered carries forward the red cross of the Templars, a symbol not only of courage in battle, but of mercy and sacrificial love in action.
By giving generously, we honour our medieval forebears who built hospitals, protected the weak, and used their resources for the greater glory of God and the service of mankind.

Fundrasing events
Our members put on different events to raise money for charities, for example, one of our members put on a charity ghost hunt that raised £800 for the North Wales Womens centre in Rhyl.

Community Events
We put on a 2 day event for local children in need to see Father Christmas with his Reindeer's. We looked after and entertained over 100 children from 45 families. This was funded by donations and fundraising at the Templar members annual gathering.

Sponsoring
We're sponsoring 2 dogs, one to assist the deaf, and one to assist the blind. Both dogs are currently still in training

Individuals in Need
We are proud to support those within local communities throughout England and Wales. For example; we have helped to buy a wedding dress after it was lost in a flood, helped pay for essential equipment for a young man after he was paralysed in an accident, and helped a family when their house burnt down.
